Fall

I can't hardly believe it is fall. I mean when did the weather change and where have I been. Hiding under a rock I guess, because I woke up and realized that the leaves were changing colors!!! For my birthday I got photoshop and a new lens and so this week I have been playing with them both unfortunately tonight I tried to upload some pics to share with you that I have edited and it made our computer crash for some reason so here a few pics that I have taken around town to remind us all that yes fall is here so bring on the beautiful colors and vibrant smells that make us love and enjoy this wonderful time of year. Happy Fall

Thomas the Train Adventure

Our little family, yes that's me looking a little large, who would of thought being prego with a girl would do that to my legs!! I look like I have stumps or ham hawks as I would like to say=) Jace and his best buddy Cooper!! I was telling the boys to show me there teeth and this is the picture that we got. So cute

Last Saturday we went to Golden Colorado to a Thomas the Train Expo at an old railway museum. I was a little worried because I am not all that into Thomas but the event turned out to be great and I would highly recommend it to anyone with children ages 1 and older to check it out!! We had so much fun riding a train with Thomas at the lead, getting fun tattoos of Percy Jaces favorite engine at the moment=), and seeing all the real life trains that they allowed us to get on and check out. We went with our friends the Merrells and the two boys had a blast running around playing in the dirt and looking at all the really cool trains.

Arizona Wedding

The new do

All the boy cousins from oldest to youngest

The effects of Arizona

Well our Arizona trip has come and gone...We left Wyoming with nice mild temps of 80 to go to over 100 degree weather and now as I write this it is 48 with a nice drizzle. Oh how I love Wyoming... We had a great time in Arizona, Dans sister was getting married so we took our last little vacation with just the 3 of us. It was so nice to spend time with all the cousins, Jace was a little overwhelmed by all the attention but I think he would agree that it was fun to have lots of people his size to play with!! During our stay we spent time playing of course with all the kids, and hanging out with all of Dans sisters and there husbands. We ate some really good food, helped prepare for the big wedding day and spent lots of time swimming. By Sunday night we were all so tired from the time difference and for me the late nights that I could barley keep my eyes open and still today I am trying to catch up on all my lost sleep.

On a side note I must tell my awful experience of cutting Jaces hair....so last week on Tuesday I took Jace to get a hair cut and he totally lost it inside the hair cutting place and the lady who was helping us really didn't make matter any better because the moment I walked in with Jace she rolled her eyes so I guess that should have been my clue needless to say I got this bright idea that I could cut his hair!! I mean really how hard could it be, well lets just say lots of stress and many tears later my little guy is closer to bald and looking like his daddy than he is to looking like a little toddler. Lesson learned be patient and let your kids look like girls it is in!!

Last weekend in August and our Labor Day fun

These last few weekends have been full of fun. Last weekend we went camping up in the Snowy Range area. We really didn't see many deer or elk but saw lots of poo that let us know they are there. We went biking and hiking and while we were hiking Dan spotted a bull moose laying down so we took some time to call him in so we could see his real beauty. On the hike we saw a golden eagle and a green caterpillar. We also saw a wolf dog on our way to camp and he visited our camp and then on the way out we saw him again. We at first thought he was a wolf but when he was closer to us at our campsite we felt he was just a dog that was lost. So sad to think he is still out there I gave him food and told Dan if he stuck around we would bring him to the animal shelter but sadly he ate the food and left and then we saw him on our way out and he would not come to us. We played with flashlights for entertainment at night. Mostly because I was paranoid of bears. We also used a dutch oven to cook with and I have come to realize that pizza on the fire is not for the Dunns to make because we burnt our pizza again!! The only other thing that we experienced while camping was a serious thunderstorm that washed the road out and Dan had to practice his backing up skills with a trailer I might add on a very narrow mountain road=) Dan did great even though I really didn't have much faith in him... I know I am bad but it really didn't seem like we were making progress but obviously we made it out and Dan did a super good job.

This weekend we went down to Rock Springs and hung out with the Jorgensens for the weekend. We left Friday and the older boys went out hunting with their bows so Natalie, Parker, Jace and I went to dinner and after we put Jace to bed we watched a chick flick. The boys arrived back late and told us the were so close to some really big bull Elk but didn't even know they were there. Saturday the boys left early in the morning to hunt again so we hung out in the morning Jace and I went for a walk and Jace got to play with his cousin Parker. Jace really wants to be big like his cousins!! Parker had some friends come to get him to play outside and Jace was adamant that he go to so we all went outside to play with the "big boys". That afternoon we went out to the lake and played in the water. I think we all enjoyed our time lounging in the sun and playing with our children. We spent Sunday morning lounging around and just hanging out. we enjoyed having a relaxing weekend with Dans sister and her family. They are always so good to us and we can't thank them enough for having us this past weekend.
