Addison is 4 months old

This is a little late but I came down with a nasty head cold and have been a little slow to get things done.  Little Addie turned 4 months old on April 20th.  She is moving along in her development of this beautiful world we live in.  She loves chewing on her hands and tends to have lots of drool while she is chewing on them.  She is starting to like being on her tummy for short periods of time but still likes to be on her back kicking her legs or trying to grab her feet.  Addie is still on the small side weighing a whole 12lbs.  She is still wearing 0-3 month clothes and is just now being able to wear some 3-6 months stuff.  She only has one pair of shoes that she can wear and they are size newborn.  I promise she has chunk she is just petite.  She must get that from Dan!  He won't like that I said that but lets admit he is a little guy.  Sorry I am getting off on tangents this is about this precious little girl.  Addie has decided that she likes to be wide awake at about 2am and she does not cry she just sings to herself.  It is so cute yet so naughty!  Addie is grabbing toys and she tries to put them in her  mouth.  She also likes to smile at everyone.  We have yet to make her lough out loud but she is starting to groan like she is going to.  Jace is her little buddy she loves when he plays with her and I think he will be the one to get that big belly laugh out of her!! I am loving having a little girl and loving being a mom.  Love you little turkey lou.

Jace is 3!!!

Jace is 3 and as I write this all I can think about is how fast time has gone by.  I was looking through some old pictures of him and it is amazing to see the changes.  I mean I know he has changed but when you are around someone all the time you don't see it as much and of course to me he is still my little baby.  Tonight was a blast we had a few of our close friends of which we call family.  Jace was so excited to see his friends and kept telling them Happy Birthday!! He was so funny when he blew out the candle on his cake he decided to just take a big bite out of his birthday cake! Of course he did it when I was busy looking at pictures on the camera so of course we asked him to do it again for memories sake.  Jace loved all of his presents and let me just say he is spoiled.  Jace wanted a lightening McQueen birthday.  He told everyone today that it was his birthday and that he was" free" or shall I say three, and that he wanted anything cars related.
Oh how I love this little boy.  He is such a sweet kid, (unless he is on a sugar crash and, well lets just say the horns do pop out just slightly). Jace has a  love for  cars and of course TV.   He is starting to really enjoy movies.  Dan took him to the Lorax at the movie theater and he was so excited he never sat down!  Jace has finally decided he wants to wear underwear and be a big boy so no more pullups for him!! Just a little side note he is definitely one that likes to think things are his idea.  When he says his prayers he always says he is thankful for his tv and motorcycle and sometimes he says his curtains.  I try to tell him those are all blessings but he thinks it is a must to name everything that he has.  Jace is really good with remembering books that we read.  In fact we have been reading the kids version of the Book of Mormon and Jace loves to tell me about Lehi and about King Noah and how he was bad!! Jace knows his ABC's well the song that is. He also knows most of his shapes and some of the numbers. Jace loves to sing and his song of choice at the moment is the popcorn song as well as the hello song.  At night Jace has decided to wear only a shirt to bed with his underwear  we try to tell him he will be cold but he just tells us" no i is big"  Jace is weighing in at 35 pounds!! He wears 4T shirts and pants.  He is a sweet little man that seems to know just when I need that special hug, kiss or I love you.    Everyday I look at him and think wow heavenly father trusts me with this little man.  I am sure blessed to be his mother.  Jacer your dad and I love you.  You are constantly making us smile.  I hope you know how much you are loved.  I know that you are going to grow up and be a wonderful young man. I see the way you are with your sister and think how great of a Dad /Husband you will be someday. Your one amazing little boy with the funniest personality.  WE LOVE YOU AND HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!!

April Updates and Pictures

For those of you who don't live in Wyoming you must be told now that we have had a real spring!! In march we had over two weeks were the wind was not blowing and the temperatures were above 60 degrees.  Now it is almost the end of April and the trees are blooming and our grass is almost fully green.  This weather has allowed for some fun times outside.  Jace is so funny he think dandelions are flowers that are so beautiful.  He goes around and picks them no matter where we are.  Our neighbors are grateful he is so ambitious to do there spring weeding , and I am just tickled that Jace thinks of his mom when he sees these bright colored weeds.  For Easter Jace received a Kite so our newest adventure has been trying to get a kite to go up in the air!! We only had a few moments were it flew Dan blames the kite but I think it was the operator if you ask me.  Jace played with a little kite and had so much fun watching it fly. He did get frustrated however when the kite would get tangled and at one point I herd him yell "Oh Crap" hmm I wonder were he got that from???  We are loving this beautiful weather and all the fun we get to have playing outside.

Addison Is 3 Months Old

I can't believe how fast time goes when you have little ones. You always get the advice to "enjoy every moment because it goes fast" and honestly 3 years ago I would have called your bluff !! Now I am the one wishing time would stand still for a moment. Addison is such a joy! She is a very calm baby who really only fusses when she is tired or hungry. She has discovered her hands and likes to put them in her mouth. She tends to suck on the top of her hand and her sucking is very loud!! She also continues to smile and is more aware of the world around her. She never sleeps when you really need her to or think she should. It has amazed me that even at such a very young age she is a girl who knows what she wants. Her clothes that were once to big are starting to fit which is expanding her wardrobe. Shoes don't stay on her feet, but we have found some really cute socks that stay on those cute little feet of hers. She is learning to love tummy time and has even taken a liking to the bumbo chair. Addie has started to coo more and say oh and ah which is so cute. I love how she fake coughs and then says "oh" it is precious. Addison we love you very much. Jace loves you and can't wait for you to chase after him. I look forward to this journey but am enjoying every moment with my family.

Our Fun Filled Weekend...Not

Last week was a little crazy!! It started out just fine with the beautiful weather and then Wednesday night Jace woke up with a 104 temperature. Needless to say we have spent the last few days trying to get him well and recovered. He was so sad being sick. I took him in to the doctor and he told everyone that he not feel good. He ended up getting on antibiotic and finally today he is back to normal..with a little tiny cough left over. Man colds are nasty!!! So far Addie is doing well. It has been hard work keeping her from Jace and his cold. Here are a few pics of the kiddos this past week. Love Love my little family. Happy Spring.

A weekend of warmth

This weekend I was home with the kids for the first time by myself. I was a little nervous I must admit but I was pleasantly surprised at how far I have come in the past 3 months to adapting to 2 children. The weather was so beautiful this weekend that we spent most of our days outside. Saturday it was 67 degrees with hardly a breeze. You could tell that everyone in Cheyenne needed this warmth because the park was crowded almost to the point of chaos. We as in Jace , Addie, myself and some friends enjoyed walking around the park. Jace road his bike which is red and he thinks it is lightening McQueen. At one point while riding his bike he was getting frustrated he shouted out "oh coconuts" I was beside myself with laughter. We spent much of our evenings watching movies and yes I must admit we went to bed every night at 7:30. Sunday we got up and I decided if single moms can get to church so could I. The only problem I had was getting Jace dressed you will see in the above picture that he was no happy with what I had him wear. Church was a success Jace went to nursery and I got to enjoy all 3 hours of church. I am thinking this type of easy weekend by myself will never happen again. It was hard to report back to Dan that the weekend went well because I am afraid he will think that I am "good" at doing the parenting thing all by myself. Which I can but its always nice to have a partner in crime. I am so getting into the swing of things and am feeling normal again since having sweet Addie. Life is good. I continue to be grateful for all our wonderful friends and family who are always there for us and support us.

Addisons 2 month check up..

Addison all tuckered out after shots
Well today we had our 2 month well child check up as well as our first round of shots.. Addie is 10 weeks old and she weighed 10lbs 6oz and was 22 inches long. She is in the 25 percentile in both weight and height. Shots went fine she screamed the whole time and continued to scream for about an hour after we arrived home. Her initial cries after the first shot were so sad she would cry and then hold her breath for a moment and then cry some more. It is always so hard to watch your little ones get shots. Just a little update on Addison not much has changed since but she is turning into a little ham. All you have to do is talk to her and she lights up. Tummy time is still not her favorite but she is getting better at being on her tummy. She still fights sleep mostly during the day and evenings are her time to be fussy. I love this little girl. I am finding that the second time around is much easier and the little things that once were big things are now so much easier to handle. I am so thankful I get to call myself a mother, and am enjoying all the ups and downs of having a precious little girl.
