Best Buds

Jace loves his friend Cooper!! I think they especially like riding in the car together.....When we go places in our car Cooper gets to ride in the middle so he can watch the video of Handy Many with Jace. It is so cute to look back and see both of the boys with the glossed over stare, they seem to be in awe of Many. Here in these photos Cooper was trying to grab Jaces hands and his mom was worried he would grab to hard but Jace thought it was so funny and kept trying to get Cooper to grab is hands more!! We are so lucky to have great friends, Dan and I feel right at home when we are with them and I hope that Jace feels the same way with his buddy Cooper.

Sunny Days!!!

Friday Jace and I joined our friends Kasey and Cooper for a nice afternoon walk. We decided to head for the grass and let the kids play. I forgot that Jace has not been in the grass. Last year he was to small so to my suprise when I sat him down on the grass he immediatly pulled his legs up!! So funny. While is was crawling around he was looking at me and it seemed to me that he was thinking " what have you put me on? Where is the soft carpet I am used to!!" in the end we practiced walking and he quickly decided he liked walking and crawling on the nice cool green grass=)

Food Fun

As most of you know food can be fun with kids. Jace is so funny with his food he really likes fruit and yogurt right at the moment. Recently he has started to get his top incisors and he is starting to tear his food off!! It is so cute to watch him eat a tortilla because he really holds on to it and pulls pieces off with his new teeth. This is such a fun time, I tell everyone I know that in my opinion the hardest part of being a new parent is the feeding you just never know what they are going to like and texture is the culprit!!! Another thing that is super funny is our dog he is Jace's best friend when there is food involved and Jace thinks it is so funny to hand food over to the dog. I have been trying to tell him no but he just smiles or shakes his head right back at me. Guess it could be worse and hey the dog is getting some treats! Lately....

So here are a few pictures of the fun we have been having this last week!! On the 30th it was Jaces 1 year doctor appointment. At that visit he weighed 22lbs 4oz, 29 3/4 inches long and his head was 18cm. As I was sitting there I thought to myself my has he grown!! We had fun at the doctors until there was shots involved and then we were'nt so happy. Jace has also taking a liking to following me around while I am vacuming his thing is giving the vacum a few wet kisses so cute. Just this week he also started to climb into the dog cage and play so funny I actually have to really work to get him to come out!!! We are having so much fun with are little man he is growing up so fast, hope you all enjoy some of our funny moments this past week!!

Jace's First Birthday!!!!

Ahh what a day, all I can say is this has been the fastest year of my life. I never thought about nor totally understood the love a mother has for her children until I myself became one. As I look back on this past year there has been many journeys I never dreamed I would take. Jace has taught me so much about myself in this one year than I have learned in my 26 years of life. All I can say is the Lord obviously knows me and knew this perfect child would send me all the guidance I have been waiting for.
Jace came to this world being a sweet baby who hardly cried now at the end of this first year I feel I can say he is the same except for he now has an opinion which is super great!!! So Jace here is to you and the wonderful little man you are. I want you to know how much your dad and I love you, my life has been so much better with you in it and I feel really bad that I waited so long to experience your sweet spirit. I hope that as your parents you will look to us as examples, that you will love who you are and know that we are here for you no matter what!! During this next year you will begin to understand your world around you it will be a little scary at times being that you will take your first steps and try some new foods but as you figure it out you will love what your body will allow you to see and do. I only hope for you to find love for the gospel, be happy, find true love, and live happily ever after.

He also loved all is presents and since this was my first kids birthday party I was so amused at all the kids trying to open all Jaces presents!!!!
